Terra Jazz Band

Well... my first practice with the Terra Jazz Band went well. It was very intimidating setting down to the piano and reading through the music on site. The band's already familiar with the core tunes. I'll need to really bunker down on this one. Players include a fair sized trumpet section, five trombones, sax's with one baritone sax, upright and electric bass, two electric guitar players, drummer, and now me on piano playing a mix of big band and jazz standards. Well I'm off, got some listening to do and keep up with theory homework and get ready for vocal skills test next week. This semester is sure to go by lightning fast. Concert schedule so far includes a co-op show with the Fremont Ross Jazz Band December 2nd at 7:00pm at the high school.
