Birthday BBQ

Finally a nice summertime BBQ at Dave's studio in Hessville. Man it was great to fire up the lights and the grill to celebrate Nikki and Kel's Birthday. Always a pleasure to sit and play with great players like Dave, Chuck, Curley, and Matt holdin it together on bass. Thanks to all. Bambi and I flew in early and walked DeJay and Layla around the place investigating all the tall grasses and inside the studio. They were in ferret heaven. We took the bikes for a sunset ride but jammed right through. Curley came riding in on a japanese replica of a 38 bmw complete with side car. I jumped in along with the ferrets and Bambi jumped on the bike and away we went. That old thing got up to about 50 and got us all most of the way before a head gasket blew. Sputtered back to Curleys house, down the road from the studio, before we ran out of gas and finished out the last 50 yards on foot. Not a problem. It was a fun ride on a sunny day. Thanks Chuck for getting it together and to Dave for hosting I had a blast. Well worth the long winter's wait to get back out there. Looking forward to more throughout the summer and especially in the fall when we can add a nice bonfire to the day :)
