Hickory Hideout

Some nice weather yesterday and a chance to toss the bikes in the truck and visit the area parks. DeJay found a massive hickory tree completely hollow at the base of the trunk. There WAS a small hole that squirrels and other critters were using to get in... that entrance is now a bit larger thanks to an ambitious ferret and his desire to check it out. After clearing away dirt in true ferret form DeJay went inside for a look around. He was really deep in there man. This tree had quite a diameter and he used up most of his lead walking all around. Finally after a thorough inventory of every nook and cranny he appeared as you see here, face covered in dirt and satisfied with a job well done.
