Open season

Picked up my fishing tag yestrday, caint wait to land some fresh catch in the pan. I am fish hungry after a long ohio winter. My friend gave a pole to me but it will need some more adjustment to cast the first line.

Nineteen dollars this year for liscense fee in Ohio, a fair price considering the options. Court costs and fines can be very high. Some sharp hooks and a can of worms not too steep a price for this summers fish supply.

Dick, my ferret, will be a blast to take along fishing. We ride the local bike trail eash day at sunrize to take in the morning. Ending our route at the Sandusky river will be right on the way and he will enjoy investigating the fish caught.

This morning I let him examine the worms. Just cracking the lid he got a whiff of what was in this mysterious package. Once the lid was off ol Dick was nose deep in two dozen canadian nightcrawlers clucking and spinning around lick a vicious gator. He did not eat them, just nipping attempts to get them to play back with him.

I will have a drive by the river on the route home and see how many early birds (with working poles) are already testing the water for sping fish.

Peace
Rick
