Grammy Rusch

Many of my best memories as a child were on visits to Grammy & Grampy Ruschs' house. Maybe for a summer visit or overnight. Swimming in the pool and helping Grammy with dinner or a puzzle. Grampy was always a bright light, smiling and both of them always so full of love. Holidays at their house was a real event. Family from the Rusch side packed the home. Playing with cousins and seeing my Aunts and Uncles always a treat. I'm grateful to have had them in my life growing up. Grammy passed this month... her obituary follows. Betty L. Rusch
April 2, 1927 -- June 11, 2007

Betty L. Rusch, 80, formerly of Morrison Rd, Fremont, died Monday, June 11, 2007 at Cook Care Facility in Youngtown, AZ. She was born April 2, 1927 in Lacarne, OH to Basil and Gladys (Smith) Griffith. She married Walter H. Rusch on June 17, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2005. Betty along with husband Walter owned and operated Walter Rusch Plumbing and Heating Contractor where she was the Secretary and Treasurer, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was an avid golfer and bowler. She loved being with her family.

Betty is survived by her sons, Robert (Marcy Sweet) Rusch, T or C, NM, Steve (Carol) Rusch, Fremont, OH, Phillip (Mary) Rusch, Glendale, AZ, Richard (Meghean) Rusch, of FL, Patrick (Kristine) Rusch, Midland, MI; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter H. Rusch and half brother, William Zenz.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 19 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont.

Mass of Christian Burial: will follow the Visitation at 11 a.m., Fr. William Pifher officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, at a later date.

Memorials: Sacred Heart School or Donor's Choice.
